| Hey Sherm. I was wondering how you got the text box on the home page. Im making a webpage for my class and I was wondering how you put it in there. Ive played around with the code from the site but my teacher and I are having trouble figuring it out. Im using Macromedia Dreamweaver and Microsoft Frontpage. Thanks alot. |

Brian,
By sheer coincidence, I just answered your earlier email! So watch your inbox.
Basic answer is that the homepage uses an <iframe> element to display a separate html file which is generated by the camp office staff (JD mostly...)
Check your email and let me know if you have any further questions.

Yea,
We just got our newsletter too. Nice to be recognized as helping out. The key thing for everyone to remember is that your relationship with Coniston doesn't have to end after your camper or staff days... Keep in touch, visit, and (ultimately) send your own kids to camp!
Have a great summer!

I had to create a new account since I can't remember my old nick. Is there any way to have my nick and password sent using my email address? There's no other link for help unless you have a nick already, so if you can't remember it, you have to do what I just did. Luckily I have a few emails.
Also I think my avatar is wrong. What are the "S" patches? "A" is boys camp, right? "C" is girls camp? And then there's "S" numbers and a "P", what are they? I don't even remember what the old CIT cabin was, at the top of the hill above the boathouse. 16? |

Brian,
Here's some feedback for you:

You are correct. The "lost password" feature assumes you remember your nickname "nick". If you don't know that, then please send an email to me at webmaster@coniston.org with as much information as possible (most important being your current email address) and I'll email you back a reset password.

The triangles are meant to reflect your current "status" and # years at camp. "S" is for Staff (meaning current staff). "A" is for alumni, "P" is for Parent and "C" is for Camper. We don't have "combos" like AP.
You can change your avatar at any time, just go to the "My Account" page after you've logged in and scroll way down.

How do you get permission to send e-cards (the thing where you can e-mail pictures)?
-Thanks |

emizzle,
There is no feature on the web site that lets you send e-cards. If you see a photo on the site (on the homepage, recent photos pages, or photo galleries), then right-click to do a "Save Image As" (or what-ever the one-button-mouse equivalent is on the Mac) to save the photo to your computer. Then, you can email it to friends, etc.
Thanks,
